To provide PC & Contractor with a clear understanding of the new roles and their responsibilities and of the five key parties: the Client, Designer, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractors (including the self-employed) under the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Furthermore the course aims to enable delegates to devise and maintain Health and Safety Plans to meet the requirements of the regulations


On completion of the training delegates should be able to:

  • Define and describe the projects where CDM should be applied
  • Specify the legal responsibilities and duties imposed upon the Construction Team by CDM
  • Controlling construction sites without risk to health and safety
  • Describe the content of pre-construction information file
  • Devise and maintain Construction Phase Plans
  • Detail the requirements for welfare/site security on construction sites
  • Consultation with employees
